<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner capable of preventing residual force from acting to exert an influence on a member in the periphery of a brush when an operation of a brush drive mechanism ends. <P>SOLUTION: This indoor unit 2 for the air conditioner is provided with a case 5 having a suction opening 3, an air filter 20, a brush 23, and the brush drive mechanism 60. The filter 20 is disposed within the case 5 and filters air introduced from the suction opening 3. The brush 23 is configured to be kept into contact with the air filter 20 to clean the air filter 20 in cleaning the air filter 20, and separated from the air filter 20 by moving relative to the case 5 in the operations other than the cleaning operation. The brush drive mechanism 60 is provided within the case 5 and rotationally drives the brush 23. The brush drive mechanism 60 rotates the brush 23 in the normal direction to clean the air filter 20, and then rotates the brush 23 in the reverse direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
