PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support structure of a backrest, which is capable of obtaining a comfortable sitting feeling, simplifying a structure and improving assembly workability by making it easy to resiliently bend the upper part of the backrest and the intermediate part in right and left directions to the back. SOLUTION: A circular arcuate bend part 25 whose center part projects forward in a side view is formed on both side parts of the backrest 6. On the rear surface of the bend part 25, a projection part 26 which projects to both side parts of a backrest support body 9 so as to form a complementary form with it and is in a circular arcuate shape in the side view is freely slidably fitted. A connecting shaft 27 projecting on the front surface of the projection part 26 is loosely fitted to a through-hole 28 provided on the bend part 25 of the backrest 6, and a plate nut 29 whose right-to-left dimension is larger than the through-hole 28 is provided on the front end part of the connecting shaft 27 projecting forward from the bend part 25.
