PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress self-heating of a comparator circuit while preventing a reduction in the operating speed of the comparator circuit due to measures taken against the self-heating. SOLUTION: Switches S1 and S2 are connected to differential amplifiers 11 and 12, respectively. When the switch S1 is turned ON to operate the differential amplifier 11, the switch S2 is turned OFF to stop the differential amplifier 12. When the switch S2 is turned ON to operate the differential amplifier 12, the switch S1 is turned OFF to stop the differential amplifier 11. As a result, the differential amplifiers 11 and 12 are alternately operated by the switches S1 and S2, whereby self-heating caused by the operation of the differential amplifiers 11 and 12 is suppressed, and therefore, the reduction in the operating speed of the comparator circuit 1 due to measures against the self-heating is prevented.
