PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that abnormal noise and friction powder, even if vibration is applied, by holding a diffuser panel in a cell case reliably. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes: a liquid crystal display panel 1; a sheet-like diffuser panel 2 arranged at the rear of the liquid crystal display panel 1; a cell case 3 in which the liquid crystal display panel 1 and the diffuser panel 2 are held; and a light source 4 for illuminating the liquid crystal display panel 1 and the diffuser panel 2 from the rear. The diffuser panel 2 has a protrusion 22 protruding in a thickness direction at the end thereof, and includes a pressing piece 36 for pressing the protrusion 22 at a point of the cell case 3, which corresponds to the protrusion 22.
