PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system that includes an image forming apparatus and air cleaning apparatus, and effectively maintains the environment around the installed image forming apparatus in a clean state while suppressing power consumption. SOLUTION: The image forming system 200 includes an image forming operation unit 211, an air cleaning operation unit 221, a power supply 201, and a control unit 213. The control unit 213 has: a coordinated ON control function of coordinating a first power supply ON control for turning on power supply from the power supply 201 to the image forming operation unit 211 and a second power supply ON control for turning on power supply from the power supply 201 to the air cleaning operation unit 221; and/or a coordinated OFF control function of coordinating a first power supply OFF control for turning off power supply from the power supply 201 to the image forming operation unit 211 and a second power supply OFF control for turning off power supply from the power supply 201 to the air cleaning operation unit 221.
