PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality diagnosis device of an internal combustion engine, diagnosing clogging abnormality of a PCV passage. SOLUTION: An engine 10 includes: the PCV passage 31 connected to an intake system and recirculating blow-by gas to the intake system; and an air flow meter 13 arranged upstream of the connection of the PCV passage 31 in the intake system and detecting an intake air flow rate. An electronic control unit (ECU) 50 performing various kinds of control for the engine 10 diagnoses the clogging abnormality of the PCV passage 31 based on the width of the pulsation of the intake air flow rate detected by the air flow meter 13. A thermal sensor having a heating section and a temperature measuring section which are provided on a semiconductor substrate is employed as the air flow meter 13. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
