METHOD FOR REGULATING SIZE AND GROWTH OF VASCULARIZED NORMAL TISSUE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide treatment of reducing obesity. SOLUTION: Data represent suppression of growth of endometrial tissues implanted into an abdominal cavity by an angiogenesis inhibitor. A dose of TNP-470 used in this pilot trial is one third of an established dose for tumors. The angiogenesis inhibitor is administered to a patient in an effective amount to regulate normal, non-transformed vascularized tissue size and/or growth by regulating its vascular compartment. Examples of tissues that can be controlled include adipose tissue, intestinal polyps, muscle (including cardiac) tissue and endometrial tissue. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
