PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate a data processing speed relative to a specific divided area of a hard disk logically divided into a plurality of divided areas. SOLUTION: A composite storage device 10 includes a first storage medium 141, a second storage medium 142 and a storage area associating part 12. In the first storage medium 141, a storage area 141b is logically divided into a plurality of divided areas SR1, SR2, SR3, SR4. The second storage medium 142 has storage capacity not less than the storage capacity of at least one divided area out of the plurality of divided areas. In the second storage medium 142, a data processing speed is higher than the data processing speed of the first storage medium 141. The storage area associating part 12 associates a storage area 142b of the second storage medium 142 with at least one divided area out of the divided areas of the first storage medium 141, which has storage capacity not more than the storage capacity of the second storage medium 142.
