PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, in an image processor in which an external storage device such as a USB memory can be connected, a write speed is different depending on the connected external storage device and an image transfer buffer area in an image forming apparatus cannot be appropriately secured. SOLUTION: On the basis of the result of measuring the write speed of a mounted USB memory 411, a storage buffer area 504 in a suitable size is secured within a DRAM 402.
