The method involves providing a continuously operating conveying unit e.g. scraper chain conveyor (5), on another continuously operating conveying unit e.g. web belt conveying system. The former unit is carried parallel and adjacent to a working face (4) on a bed (1) of a deposit. Bulk goods to be moved are directly applied on the former unit from the working face by a discontinuously operating mining device e.g. hydraulic dredger. The goods are transported transverse to progressive reduction by the former unit. The former unit is discontinuously pushed back in a direction of the working face.
