The protection circuit comprises a first conductive line (52) connected between the at least one terminal and the first supply rail, the first conductive line comprising a first switch (54) having a first control input (56); and a first voltage amplifier circuit (58) having a first input (60) connected to the at least one terminal, a second input (62) connected to the second supply rail and a first output (64) connected to the first control input.
