<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic keyboard instrument which makes the sound generated by a speaker change delicately, according to the key-depressing operation of a plurality of keys in a keyboard section, and which outputs sound from between the plurality of keys, in a superior manner. <P>SOLUTION: An aperture 35 for outputting sound in which an opening state changes according to key-depressing operation, is provided in the plurality of keys 11 in the keyboard section 8. Hence, when the speaker 32 outputs musical sound by key-depressing operation of the plurality of keys 11 in the keyboard section 8 and the output musical sound passes through the aperture 35 of the keys 11, the opening state of the aperture 35 of each key 11 changes, according to the key-depressing operation, and the musical sound can be changed delicately, according to change of the opening state of the aperture 35.
