<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp lighting device for improving the flexibility in the arrangement of wiring patterns and reducing the noise. <P>SOLUTION: A control element 16 in which a power factor improving control section 21 and a conversion control section 36 are integrated is formed different from a drive element 17. According to this configuration, since each of the distance between a field effect transistor Q1 of a power factor improving circuit 12 and the power factor improving control section 21 and the distance between the field effect transistors Q1, Q2 of an inverter circuit 13 and the conversion control section 36 can be shortened, flexibility in arrangement of wiring patterns can be improved; and noise can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
