<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display panel, allowing easy inspection using a general-purpose tester, for determining whether electrical connection is reliably carried out between an inside face shield layer arranged in a color filter and common routing wiring on an array substrate in production of an in-plane switching liquid crystal display panel where a liquid crystal layer is held between a first substrate (the array substrate) and a second substrate (the color filter substrate). <P>SOLUTION: When a cutout part X is formed, the common routing wiring formed in the circumference edge region of a display area 12 of a first transparent substrate 11 is constructed of first common routing wiring 16 and second common routing wiring 17. The first common routing wiring 16 is electrically connected to the inside face shield layer via a conductive connection part 19.
