PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve operability, in a portable information processing apparatus which can be carried for performing information processing that uses images.

SOLUTION: A reference state photographic means photographs a plurality of reference states of an object to obtain a reference image. An object photography means photographs states of the object. A comparison means compares an image photographed by the object photographic means with the reference image photographed by the reference state photographic means to generate comparison information. A control means controls information processing, on the basis of the comparison information generated by the comparison means.
