<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular member manufacturing method and a side member using the same, for improving collision absorbing performance, by stably maintaining absorbing directionality of collision energy, without an additional reinforcing material. <P>SOLUTION: This vehicular member manufacturing method includes a stage S1 for preparing a member blank with a boron steel plate as a raw material, a stage S2 for molding a member by press hot forming by setting the blank at the high temperature of the transformation point temperature or more, a stage S3 of having a high strength first metallic structure by cooling the member by the hot forming by a first cooling method, a stage S4 of secondarily heating up to the transformation point temperature via a heating source in a position calculated by taking into consideration the energy absorbing directionality to the member having the high strength first metallic structure, a stage S5 of having a partially relatively low strength second metallic structure by cooling the secondarily heated member by a second cooling method, and a stage S6 of partially assembling the member having the second metallic structure on the first metallic structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
