<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for adsorbing and separating iron, radium or heavy metals (excepting iron) from a solution to be treated using protein to recover the same. <P>SOLUTION: The metal recovery apparatus 10 is constituted so that the solution to be treated is passed through a filter 41 to remove predetermined metals from the solution to be treated to thereby recover the same. The constituent material of the filter 41 contains protein for adsorbing iron, radium or heavy metals (excepting iron).
