PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid detergent composition containing a surfactant of high concentration, having excellent detergency and storage stability and free from reduction in solubility due to gel formation when diluted by water. SOLUTION: The liquid detergent composition contains (A) a surfactant including (a-1) a specific nonionic surfactant having a group originating from a 5 or 6C reducing sugar and (a-2) an anionic surfactant, (B) a water-miscible organic solvent and (C) water, wherein (a-1) in (A) is 50 mass% or more and a mass ratio (a-1)/(a-2) is 50/50 to 99/1.
