PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conventionally known joint flashing method for joining ends of a box, which provides features of flat corners of the box, a fine appearance, elimination of a risk of contact injury, or the like, but requires processes of bending an end of one plate material and that of the other plate material and joining/fastening those ends, thus leads to hard joining work, and when fastening is carried out by welding, raises the possibility of distortion development to invite a quality deterioration. SOLUTION: A manufacturing method is provided, by which a plurality of components are joined together by caulking/fastening to fix joints of a box. According to the manufacturing method, a W-shaped bent portion is formed on an end of one plate material and an L-shaped bent portion is formed on an end of the other plate material. The L-shaped bent portion is inserted into a gap between an upper bent portion and a middle bent portion of the W-shaped bent portion. The middle bent portion of the W-shaped bent portion and the L-shaped bent portion and the upper bent portion of the W-shaped bent portion and/or the middle bent portion are fastened together with a rivet to fix a corner of the box.
