PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet carrying device and an image forming device having the same, capable of preventing not only reduction in carrying force to the downstream side of a sheet but also a skew of the sheet, with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A carrying unit 30 is provided with register roller pairs 12 constituted of a driving roller 12a and a driven roller 12b composed of first and second driven rollers 33 and 34, and a second driving gear 31 is arranged on both outside of a paper passing area R of the driving roller 12a. The first and second driven rollers 33 and 34 are respectively brought into pressure contact with the driving roller 12a by second and third coil springs 37 and 38, and second and third driven gears 35 and 36 meshing with the gear are arranged in a position opposed to the second driving gear 31 on the outside of the paper passing area R of both rollers.
