PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time for which a position indicated by an indicator is irradiated with strong light, when writing information to an optical writing display medium. SOLUTION: An exposure apparatus radiates light to a display layer of the display medium for a first period indicated by the indicator and a subsequent second period. As a result, the exposure apparatus radiates light for an afterglow period subsequent to the indicated period besides the indicated period from the start to the end of indication by the indicator. Thus light radiated for the indicated period can be weakened in comparison with the case that light is not radiated for the afterglow period. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
