PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow improver for balancing flowability with a flame-retardant property and further with a mechanical property to a resin composition of a polycarbonate resin and an ABS resin. SOLUTION: A manufacturing method is provided for the flow improver (A) which is obtained by polymerizing a monomer mixture (a2) having an aromatic vinyl monomer as a principal component under existence of a polymer (a1) having an alkyl methacrylate unit as a principal component, has 90 mass% or more content ratio of a soluble component to acetone, and has 5,000 to 100,000 mass average molecular weight of the soluble component.
