PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle obtaining the same temperature control characteristics in each air-conditioning unit while increasing the common use rate of components between a plurality of air-conditioning units different in capacity. SOLUTION: The air conditioner for the vehicle includes a lower case 30 and an upper case 40 laterally divided in two. One of the cases is a case used in common, and the other case not used in common, an evaporator 12, a heater core 16 an air mixing damper 15 and blowoff mode switching dampers 21, 22 are formed in different width dimensions to constitute the plurality of air-conditioning units 1A different in capacity. First temperature regulation control means (ribs 51) common to the plurality of air-conditioning units 1A are provided at both the upper case used in common and the upper case not used in common, and second temperature regulation control means (ribs 52, 54, 55) unique to the respective air-conditioning units 1A are provided at the upper case not used in common and the air mixing damper 15.
