PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the taking out of a make-up brush to be easily and surely performed in a container for cosmetics equipped with the make-up brush and a housing chamber which houses the make-up brush. SOLUTION: This container for cosmetics is equipped with the make-up brush 7 having applicators 13 and 14 on the distal end of the rod-like gripping section 12, and the housing chamber 8 for housing the make-up brush 7. In the container for cosmetics, a protuberance 15 which prevents the side wall surface 9a of the housing chamber 8 from coming into contact with the applicator 13 is provided in the housing chamber 8. On the protuberance 15, a guide section 16 which guides the make-up brush 7 in the upward direction for making it escape from the housing chamber 8 when the make-up brush 7 is moved toward the protuberance 15 is formed.
