PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint device for a tire material, carrying out accurate constant-rate feed without causing any trouble such as tangling the tire material when feeding the tape-like tire material into a sizing-cutting position and surely aligning the sized tire material in a constant-rate feed conveyor, and to provide a method for manufacturing the tire material. SOLUTION: The joint device for the tire material includes a tape feeding means for feeding the tire material into the sizing-cutting position while holding down the tip of the tire material by a presser cylinder traveling synchronously with the feed speed of the constant-rate feed belt conveyor; a cutting means for cutting the fed tire material; and an aligning belt conveyor provided behind the constant-rate feed belt conveyor to convey the cut sized tire material into a standby position. Aligning a plurality of sized tire materials obtained by sizing and cutting the tape-like tire material, in a width direction and overlap-joining the side edges to each other are repeated to manufacture the tire material of predetermined shape.
