AUTOMATIC SPEED REDUCTION AND ALERT NOTIFICATION IN SCHOOL ZONE

PURPOSE: An automatic speed reduction and an alert notification in a school zone are provided to prevent accident by automatically reducing the speed of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An alarm signal generator(11) uses local area wireless communication. The alarm signal generator transmits an alarm signal to vehicles. An alarm signal receiver(12) is installed in the vehicles. The alarm signal receiver receives the alarm signal. A SUB ECU(13) transmits the entrance and speed of the vehicles to a main ECU. The SUB ECU sends an alarm generation command signal to the alarm signal generator. The SUB ECU sends a deceleration command signal to the operating unit of the vehicles. A main ECU(15) control whole of the vehicle. A sensor unit(14) detects states of vehicle. An operating unit(16) directly drives the vehicle. An alarm generator(17) informs the driver of the entrance of the school zone.
