<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To track theft of an electronic computer, specify a terminal from which information has leaked, and detect an alteration to an internal structure by a third party. <P>SOLUTION: Based on the hardware that makes up the inside of the electronic computer and the serial number of the hardware, the numerical conversion of the serial number is made so that it is made into a unique serial number, thereby issuing a serial number which is fixed and unique as long as the internal structure is not significantly altered. Two kinds of serial number, one being associated with an OS while the other being not associated with an OS, are issued to enable flexible management of the electronic computer and adoption of an easy crime prevention method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
