PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connected sensor system which can be easily used by a user and give an external input to each sensor unit without making the wiring complicated, and a network unit and a sensor unit used for the connected sensor system. SOLUTION: A cyclic communication memory 14a of a network unit 10 is provided with an external input request region 14a-6, and an external input signal is stored in a corresponding memory of a host control apparatus 42. By performing cyclic communication between the network unit 10 and the host control apparatus 42, the external input signal is stored in the cyclic communication memory 14a of the network unit 10, the external input signal is transmitted to each sensor unit connected to the network unit 10, and each sensor unit executes an external input function.
