PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for detecting an abnormality of a wire winding state on a wire drum. SOLUTION: This device includes a wire winding device in which a spiral wire groove is provided on a wire winding surface of the wire drum, and a wire is introduced into the wire groove, wound by being made as one layer and derived, a light projector emitting light beam advancing on a virtual straight line parallel to a drum rotation axis in a range of a height of the wire exposed from a groove of the drum near an outer circumferential surface of the wire drum, a light receiver receiving the light beam, and a sensor mounting member for mounting the light projector and the light receiver.
