PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel for a marine hose and a method of manufacturing the same, capable of winding a hose line formed by connecting a plurality of marine hoses, without causing deformation and damage. SOLUTION: A surface layer 30 covers an outer peripheral surface of a reel body 10, and a hose storage groove 30a formed in a spiral shape is arranged on the surface layer 30, and the hose storage groove 30a is formed along an outer peripheral surface of the hose line HL. Thus, the contact area between an outer peripheral surface of the respective marine hoses 40 and the hose storage groove 31a increases, and when force is applied to the hose line HL by dead weight and a tidal current in a state of winding the hose line HL on the reel body 10 along the hose storage groove 30a, the force is prevented from being locally applied to a part of the outer peripheral surface of the respective marine hoses 40. Thus, collapse of a buoyancy material layer of the respective marine hoses 40 can be prevented, and buoyancy reduction in the hose line HL by reduction in the volume of the buoyancy material layer can be prevented.
