VACUUM-PLASMA METHOD FOR STRENGTHENING OF CUTTING TOLL OF CARBON STEEL

摘要

A vacuum-plasma method for strengthening of cutting toll of carbon steel comprises the nitriding of hear-surface layer of cutting tool at action on it nitrogen plasma. The cutting tool is processed with short plasma impulses for provides quick smelting and following superquick (10) cooling of superficial layer thickness of 20-100 microns.
