PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably generate an optimal marker pattern while suppressing deterioration of robustness of the marker pattern. SOLUTION: A marker generation device includes: an image input means 10 to input a plurality of images; an arranging means 20 to extract a feature point for each of a plurality of images and to express the extracted feature points in a predetermined space; a unique feature selection means 40 to select a space part in which the number of the feature points is equal to or less than the predetermined number as a unique feature; a marker generation means 50 which generates a marker using the unique feature; and a moving body detection means 30 which detects an object or a state of the object that infrequently appears in a plurality of images as a low-appearance object. The unique feature selection means 40 selects the unique feature from the predetermined space from which the feature point corresponding to the low-appearance object is eliminated.
