PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device, including an upstream roller pair having a driving roller and a driven roller, a downstream roller pair and a resist roller pair, capable of restraining slippage of a material to be transferred in a surface of the driven roller as well as uneven wear to the driven roller. SOLUTION: The image forming device includes: an upstream roller pair 81 having a first driving roller 811 and a first driven roller 812; a downstream roller pair 82 having a second driving roller 821 and a third roller 822; a resist roller pair 80; a first drive part 813 for rotatingly driving the first driving roller 811; a second drive part 823 for rotatingly driving the second driving roller 821; and a control part 840 for stopping rotation driving of the first driving roller 811 before stopping the rotation driving of the second driving roller 821 after a material T to be transferred is conveyed to the resist roller pair 80 by the upstream roller pair 81 and the downstream roller pair 82 and reaches the resist roller pair 80.
