A gas mixing device is provided with a tube having an inlet and an outlet. Vanes for changing the direction of the gas flow at the vanes are located between the inlet and the outlet. The vanes extend inwardly with respect to the inner wall of the tube and have such a position with respect to the tube that the vanes are free from overlap as seen in frontal view of the inlet.
