The container (1) has two closable compartments (2, 3) arranged adjacent to each other and connected with each other by a bar, which extends transverse to side walls (11, 12, 15). The compartments are closed by a lid (4) that is integrally produced and interlockably formed with the side walls. Compartment covers (5, 6) are connected with each other by an intermediate piece (7) and formed corresponding to the compartments. The lid and the intermediate piece are formed by a common component. A locking connection is formed through an opening in the bar.
