PURPOSE:To contrive easier fitting of a paper to a tractor feeder, by detecting the paper at a position on the paper drawing-in side of a pressure roller, automatically pressing the pressure roller against a platen, and then automatically releasing the pressure roller from the platen. CONSTITUTION:When a printing paper 10 is brought to the position of a sensor 3, the sensor 3 detects the paper 10, and a cam driven by a driving motor 4 is switched, whereby a roller shaft 1 with a pressure roller 2 fitted thereto is pressed against a platen 8. Simultaneously, the platen 8 is driven by the motor 4 through a power transmission system comprising a motor gear 5, an idle gear 6 and a platen gear 7, whereby the paper 10 is fed. When rotation of the motor 4 by a fixed quantity is finished and the feed of the paper is stopped, the cam is again switched by the motor, whereby the roller shaft 1 with the roller 2 fitted thereto is released from the platen 8. |
