<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compression distortion elimination apparatus capable of reducing the amount of computation. <P>SOLUTION: The compression distortion elimination apparatus performs filtering on each of a plurality of frames included in an input image signal using any one of a plurality of filters. When a scene change has not occurred in a filtering target frame and a temporal correlation between a local area including the filtering target pixel and a local area including a best match pixel of a reference frame is high, a filtering process is performed on the filtering target pixel using the same filter as a filter used for the best match pixel, thereby reducing the amount of computation accompanying the compression distortion elimination. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
