PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication apparatus that provides superior services to a user, a wireless communication system, a communication control method and a control program. SOLUTION: The wireless communication apparatus includes: a wireless communication means with a base station function capable of housing a mobile terminal as a slave unit; a detection means for detecting an external base station existing around the apparatus; and a control means for controlling the wireless communication means based on results of the detection means.
