PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointer which can reduce manufacturing cost, and has improved designability, and to provide a method for manufacturing the pointer, and an instrument device including the pointer. SOLUTION: The pointer is used for a combination meter for a vehicle as an instrument device including a dial plate having scales formed thereon, and a movement whose output shaft is rotated corresponding to a measured amount, and is mounted on the output shaft and rotated. The pointer includes a pointer body 11. The pointer body 11 includes a base part 13 constituted of a translucent material, and entered by light from an LED; and an indication part 14 extended from the base part 13, for indicating a scale by being illuminated by light guided from the base part 13. The pointer body 11 is formed by punching a board-like member so that a board thickness direction K1 of the board-like member constituted of the translucent material agrees with a width direction K1 in parallel with the dial plate of the pointer body 11.
