PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing autoclaved lightweight cellular concrete (hereinafter called ALC) having sufficient water repellency and waterproofing performance and being used as a wall material, a roof material, a floor material and the like in buildings. SOLUTION: In the method for producing the autoclaved lightweight cellular concrete so that a slurry in which powdery silicic and calcic raw materials are main raw materials is shaped to be a specified shape and then cured by steam at a high temperature and high pressure, a silicone oil made of dimethyl siloxane or its derivative is added to the slurry in a ratio of 0.02-5 wt.%, favorably 0.02-0.2 wt.%, based on the total solid amount in the slurry mixture and a water repellent agent whose main component is an alkylalkoxysilane is coated on the outer surface of a shaped body after curing by steam in a ratio of 0.05-6.0 g/m<SP>2</SP>, favorably 0.05-0.25 g/m<SP>2</SP>, in terms of its active component.
