PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a radio base station as to obtain a high reception performance in the radio base station by appropriately setting a combination of radio terminals to spatially multiplex uplink signals in cooperation with each other, and to provide a radio communication system and a radio communication method. SOLUTION: Based on a throughput of uplink signals from a plurality of radio terminals, a mode setting section 30 sets a cooperative spatial multiplexing mode during which two or more radio terminals are used while sharing the same uplink data burst region. A burst region notification section 41 notifies the two or more radio terminals set to the cooperative spatial multiplexing mode about the uplink data burst region to be used in common between the two or more radio terminals. A reception section 12 demultiplexes the uplink signals, received by a plurality of antennas 10, 11, spatially multiplexed in the common uplink data burst region from the plurality of radio terminals set to the cooperative spatial multiplexing mode, thereby extracting the signals from the radio terminals.
