PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain continuity of values after color conversion at the boundary of element solids adjacent to each other even when an interpolation system is changed. SOLUTION: A nonlinear interpolation operation section 22 decomposes input values (coordinate values in an input color space) into a plurality of component values along a plurality of sides extending from the vertex for each of the plurality of vertexes of the element solid in a color area, calculates the correction values of the component values by nonlinear correction from the output values of the vertexes at both ends of the side and the output value of another point on the extension for each of the plurality of component values, combines the correction values for the plurality of components, and calculates the correction values of the input values. Also, an interpolation operation section 23 calculates output values (coordinate values in an output space) for the input values from the correction value of the input values calculated for each of the plurality of vertexes.
