PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fermented milk food having favorable flavor, where distillation lees of Shochu (distilled spirit) conventionally discarded is utilized, absorption of calcium is promoted, and the calcium is reinforced, for example. SOLUTION: The fermented milk food is produced by the following processes (a) to (c): (a) a process for treating distillation lees of Shochu with enzyme at least containing cellulase to obtain the liquid part of the treated substance; (b) a process for mixing the liquid part of the processed substance, milk components and sugar followed by sterilizing the mixture to obtain milk medium; and (c) a process for inoculating lactobacillus to the milk medium to ferment the milk medium to obtain fermented milk.
