PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flow a lightning current in the ground through a specific path in a lighting strike, and to provide effect of preventing generation of an electromagnetic field by induced lightning in a building. SOLUTION: The lightning rod 1 is laid on a roof 3 of the building 2 with insulation from the building 2. A lightning protection cable 5, which is formed of a single or a plurality of power cables with shield or high-frequency coaxial cables for power, connects the lightning rod 1 and a grounding electrode 4. The lightning protection cable 5 is passed in a metal conduit 6 previously routed through an inside of the building 2, and is drawn from a top to a bottom of the building 2. When lightning is induced to the lightning rod 1, an induced current in an opposite direction to the lightning current flowing in the lighting protection cable 5 flows through the metal conduit 6 so as to suppress generation of an external magnetic field of the lightning protection cable 5 by a stroke current.
