<p>Disclosed is an EGR device for an internal combustion engine wherein an EGR passage is branched, on the side of an intake system, into a plurality of EGR branch pipes which are connected, respectively, with intake branch pipes provided for respective cylinders, and variations in the amount of EGR gas between cylinders is minimized upon occurrence of open sticking of an EGR valve. Upon occurrence of open sticking of an EGR valve, an exhaust pressure in the exhaust system of the internal combustion engine is reduced while a drop in driving power of a vehicle mounting the internal combustion engine is limited to within an allowable range.</p> |
