The device (4.1) has transport units for transporting data media (D1-D16) from an entrance position (PE) to a starting position (PA), where length of cycle of the transport units corresponds to length of cycle of transport devices (2.1-2.3). The transport units are designed as a pair of friction rollers, where the rollers are placed at opposite surfaces of the data medium or lateral edges of the data medium. The data media are supplyable in the entrance position and removable in the starting position. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for treating data medium (2) a method for treating data medium.
