The method involves providing an identifying information to a mobility management unit (MME3). The information is transmitted from the mobility management unit to other two mobility management units (MME1, MME2) and/or from the latter mobility management units to the former mobility management unit. Other identifying information are compared with the former information for determining uniqueness of the former information. The former information is assigned to the former mobility management unit during determination of the uniqueness of the former information. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for implementing a mobility management unit in a core network of a system architecture evolution and/or long term evolution communication system (2) a mobility management unit in core network of a system architecture evolution and/or long term evolution communication system, comprising an interface.
