PURPOSE:To stabilize the optical frequency of an arbitrary incident laser beam and to make possible an output by a method wherein a change of the optical frequency of the incident laser beam is converted into a change of the amount of a transmitted light in an interferometer and a frequency shifter is driven in such a way as to cancel this. CONSTITUTION:When an incident laser beam (a) is incided in an acoustooptic modulator(AOM) 21 obliquely to the modulator 21, the AOM 21 works as a Bragg cell and shields an O-order diffracted light to output a primary diffracted light. A light to transmit a laser splitter 22 among the output lights of the AOM 21 becomes the output light of this stabilizer intact, the reflected light is incided in a beam splitter 23 and the transmitted light is incided in a Fabry-Perot etalon(FP) 24. The transmitted light transmitted the FP 24 is detected by a photodiode 25, the reflected light from the splitter 23 is detected by a photodiode 26 and the ratio of the transmitted light to the reflected light is computed by a divider 271 of a control device 27. A PID control circuit 272 controls the driving frequency fv of a VCO 29 in such a way that the output of the divider 271 has a prescribed constant value. Thereby, as there is no need to feedback to the current and the temperature of a light source, the optical frequency of an arbitrary laser beam can be stabilized. |
