PURPOSE:To obtain a pharmaceutical for local administration, excellent in effects on atrophia of endometriosis tissues, establishment of gestation, etc., by holding danazol in a matrix base and, as necessary, blending a release promoter therewith. CONSTITUTION:A pharmaceutical for local administration obtained by holding danazol in a matrix base (e.g., silicone rubber or ethyl cellulose) and, as neces sary, blending a release promoter (e.g., Polysorbate 60(R), Polysorbate 80(R) or glycerol) therewith. The above-mentioned pharmaceutical is formed into a T-shaped or Ota ring-like intrauterine pharmaceutical and applicable to intra uterine or intravaginal local administration. The content of the danazol in the above-mentioned pharmaceutical is 80-200mg, preferably 100-180mg in using as an intrauterine pharmaceutical and the composition weight ratio is set so as to provide 20-50pts. danazol, 50-80pts. matrix base and 0.5-8pts. release promoter.
