PURPOSE: To provide a device for preparing an intravenous filter for in vivo implantation, by mounting a spring to a base of a fitting capsule, making a free end surround the capsule and holding a sleeve capable of passing through in the lengthwise direction of a catheter. CONSTITUTION: A fitting capsule 5 is inserted into a positioning seat 14 of a cylindrical part 3 of a guide element 2, and a screw end of a searching needle 7 is pulled-out from a conical part 4 of the guide element 2 to be screwed into a holder 10 of a filter 1. Another end of the searching needle passing through a catheter 6 is fixed into a collet gripper 9. The filter 1 passes through the guide element 2 by the searching needle 7, is led into the capsule 5, and an elastic rod 11 with nails 15 is arranged into the capsule 5 by compression. During the capsule 5 is removed from the positioning seat 14, a sleeve 8 is forward moved toward a spring 13 and runs to an end connected to the holder 10 while the free end of the spring 13 is closely connected to an outer face of the fitting capsule 5. Thereby, this device conducts the in vivo implantation of the filter 1.
